resistance curve for in dash temp gauge

Does anyone know the resistance curve for a stock in dash temp gauge/sensor. I am looking for one for the m42 if it makes a difference.

A table would be even better...showing different resistances for each temperature. From cold to overheating.

I've never seen data for any of the BMW temp sensors. It would not be difficult to plot out the curve and would only take a pot of water on a hotplate or stove burner, thermometer, and ohmmeter.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
