    Do eta's have any potential?

I don't know whether I should just do the bare essentials to put my car in reliable running condition or whether I should go ahead and mod as I go along. I don't think i'm interested in the 2.7i conversion...I'd rather swap in an engine...but how will that go? What engine?

I have an '85 eta with a few problems here and there, but I don't think it's deplorable [anymore] now that the control arms and bushings were replaced along with the shifter linkage and clutch.

I don't really see any videos or posts with people touting their superfast eta's...are there any?
    thanks

A super fast eta is about like a super fast 'i'
Do an engine swap if you're concerned about speed, in my opinion.

Do the i head and a megasquirt fuel and spark setup and run a turbo. You get about 2.7 liters and it is low compression, so you can run a fair bit of boost.
