    maybe a dumb question

    just started reading on the m30 afm swap

    i got one but i why do i have to use the m20 electronis

    the m30 plugs right it will it run shitty or not start at all

    the two cars use different motronic computers, this is why the E34 m30 afm is plug and plat fornewer 325i owners as they both use motronic 1.3 The car will run and drive but runs very shitty. If your interested in an m30, afm I've got one for sale. The board is allready loose so all you have to do is screw your m20 board in.

        Doesn't one of the M30 AFM's use the same board as a m20? I thought the part number could be used to tell which was compatible. Anyone know which M30 to use?
        Driving is the only way to go faster....

                  88 and newer of an E34 or E32, All others require the circuit board swap but the E34/E32 one only works on an 88 or newer 325i with 1.3 Motronic.
