Buzzing from blinker relay. w/car on or off.

I just swapped in a new blinker stalk and 13 button OBC. It was working fine... then I patch everything back together and now all I am getting is a nasty buzzing from the blinker stalk when I move it up or down. I don't see how the relay would have "suddenly" went bad.

    any ideas?

During my LED conversion I was playing with the flasher relay... I desoldered a small capacitor on the relay and got it to do exactly what you describe. Resoldered it back on and all was well again. You may want to just try another relay to eliminate that as a problem... only $10 at local auto parts store.

the part is known as a flasher to be PC.

theres a wire that heats up looses contact cool and make contact again to flash. vs a relay that uses low voltage to control high voltage

How about even simpler than that... The issue ended up being I swip-swapped my Hazaed Swithch with my Rear Defrost Switch!!!! DOH! easy fix.. too bad I tore shit apart before figuring it out.

Hahaha, I wonder if this is what I did...I labelled them when I did my dash swap but maybe I mixed them up. Did the Hazard button stay lit up solid when you pressed it hooked up in the wrong spot?

Yep...this was my problem too. Swapped them and I'm back to normal. Other than feeling like a total dunce I'm pretty happy!
