    help: cluster?

    i was driving today and the cluster's mileage stopped counting,
    its stuck at 210,999 ?

    never had any problems before, what could be the reason>

    its a 91' 318is with a m50

    Your odometer gear broke. Very common.

    You can either replace the odometer gear, replace the whole speedometer/odo assembly, or replace the whole cluster. None of these jobs are very hard.

    I think I actually have a working odometer/speedometer assembly with 202,XXX miles on it that you can have for $20 shipped. I'll have to check. PM me if you want it.

      ..and just a helpful hint to reduce the chances of it happening again...avoid resetting the trip meter while the car is moving.
