    What oil pan gasket?

    My 89iS has a oil pan gasket leak. i remember reading something that said one gasket was better then the other. Cork vs Paper? Which one should i buy.

      Not the answer he needs bud. There's two different types of OEM gaskets.

      I prefer the paper one - it's really thick and feels more reobust to me. The cork one almost falls apart in your hands before it's even installed.

        +1, cork ones suck to remove when they're old too. Knocked off two pans in a short amount of time, removed the cracked pan and the paper one was still attached to the block, whiped it down and put on the new pan, no leaks! :D

            sorry. didn't realize that there were two oem gaskets. i have only seen the paper one.
