    Oil Pressure light minor issue

The oil PRESSURE light is on (actually only flickers) only at idle, and only when the car is completely warm.

the second I either rev the engine or simply drive the car, the light goes away..

The oil pressure switch is new... but I recently had a coolant system bleeding problem and blazing hot coolant was spewing all over the switch... on more than 1 occasion. Could that be the problem?

I've heard of people who pressure wash their engine bay have oil pessure switch problems...

      Hmmm,

Doesn't sound like a switch problem but an oil pressure problem.

What engine are you running? and what weight of oil?

I'm running the CHEAP 10W30 oil, only to flush the engine out. I am doing an oil change this weekend with a heavier weight.

I will also be replacing the switch and see if it goes away. I hear that the oil pumps are supposed to last forever on the M30 (latest generation).
