    Exhaust flange gasket removal...ASAP

Hey, finally got around to replacing the exhaust flange gaskets.....the messed up one came right out because it was all torn up...but the one that wasnt damaged wont come out. I know that after unbolting the two pieces, the bottom should just drop and allow you to take the gaskets out; however this is not the case with the one nearest the front of the car. Anything I'm doing wrong? How do you get it out?!?!

The gasket between the down-pipes and the exhaust manifold?

Is it stuck to the manifold or downpipes? Shouldn't you just be able to scrape it off?

Yeah but it isnt stuck...I can wiggle it around. I just cant push the downpipes down far enough to get the gasket out. And I cant push it down anymore...my dad and I both tried...

The bolts go through the gasket don't they? (I changed my cat+downpipes about 6 months ago and I can't remember). If you have the bolts out that connect the downpipes to the exhaust manifold it should only take about 5 minutes to drop the entire exhaust out.
