two m10 questions

ok I took the engine out of my e30 so now I have 2 lines that I dont know where to put them bact to.
The first one is coming out from the carbon container filter is the outlet line the question is :where do I plug the other end?

The second one is a valve attached to a hose connected to the elbow air boot coming out from the throttle valve I believe is the idle control valve some models have it on top of the engine,so my question is what hose or line do I have to connect to this valve?
I m going to try to get a picture of the valve in a minute

I suspect that you have the solution in-hand, but just don't realize it.

The line from the charcoal cannister connects to a valve that in turn connects to the intake at the throttle body. Sounds to me like you have the valve in hand and just need to connect it to the charcoal cannister.
