Can you pull the engine with the head off?

I'm considering just yanking the head off of my turbo bitch and seeing where the HG blew, but I might be switching out the block too.

Can you pull and engine/transmission out with the head off?

Yeah, just use the head bolts and a chain with a cherry picker, just run the head bolts thru the chain and tighten em down, but not to the point where the bolt bottoms our or the link gets bound between the block and the head of the bolt, I don't think you could torque it down that far, but...
