I think I have a faulty heater core valve, I unplugged the connector and plugged it back in just to check the connection...........still no hot air. What kind of voltage is going to it ?? 12 volts ?
Voltage to heater valve ???

probably best to just replace it. I'd venture to guess 12V though. -
Valve is normally open. IE.. open with no power to the valve. 12 volts to the valve closes it. Just unplug it and you should get heat, as long as you are not airlocked, and car is up to temp. If it doesn't give you heat your valve is F'd, or the core is plugged.(happens when people use rad sealer) There are two different valves, so get the right one. one for plastic connections on the core, one for metal. If you pull the valve, blow through it when its unplugged and disconnected. You should be able to blow through it. power it up and you should not be able to blow through it.Originally posted by codyep3I hope to Christ you have looks going for you, because you sure as fuck don't have any intelligence.

update if anyone was reading........connector to valve is 12volts with the temp control turned to the cold side. When turned to the right ---hot it loses voltage. Guess my valve is stuck, it dosent work either way. Im gunna love this........[sigpicComment

Sorry. Memory block, was a shitty job, but BMW has erased the bad times from my head.
