Need cluster help!!!

So I recently replaced my dash and when I reinstalled my cluster both the speedometer and tach weren't working. the temp and gas both work and I checked all the fuses. I know its not the cluster because I tried both the working ones I have. So if its not the cluster then what is going on!!

Did you plug in a single wire to the back of the cluster, in the green section?

Does that effect both the tach and the speedometer?

Dead SI board batteries perhaps?

I had 2 working clusters before I installed the dash and now I have 2 broken ones... I don't think its the clusters

Have you checked that the single wire is connected yet?

The single wire is for nothing more than cruise control. If the car doesn't come with cruise, it won't even be there.

Uhhh, no. Cruise control wire is seperate.

alright so I plugged in that single wire into the green fixture and the speedometer started working!! but the tach on both of my clusters still does not work. Any ideas???

the thing is that both clusters worked right before I changed out my dash and now neither of the tachs work... So i don't think it is the cluster that has the problem

check if its the same brand name (vdo to vdo),( motometer to motometer)
