    convertible window replacement

I'm about to put in my new zip-in rear window, and I'm hoping to find some kind of instructions. I've searched to no avail. The window is from BMW and came with a little install kit, but it doesn't have any instructions on how to actually use the tools, what they are for or how to put it in. Anyone know of a write-up or want to throw some info out there?

Darin, josh's dad put one in but not sure if it was a zip in or not? late model only se zip in or all model and year verts?

You might ask josh and maybe his dad (Gary) could come buy, I remember him using some tools and a glue type stuff for sealing it completly. I will actually ask him tomorrow and let you know before me and Josh show up to help if i can. I remember it took him like an hour or so to so....

    hope that helps some

Ya josh and I talked about that a few weeks ago. I've got the sealing glue and the funny tools, but I don't know shit about convertible tops/upholstry stuff.

Here are some instructions for you:

I purchased a rear window from the above site and had the most difficult time with my zip-in window. After maybe 40-50 tries, I gave up and brought it to a professional installer. However, I have heard that the BMW zip-ins are more of a perfect match and is a lot easier to install, so good luck!
