    Treehouse Eyeballs=new front shimmy???

I've just taken my nearly completed swap car on a highway road test. I've got a stout front end shimmy at about 65, really disappointing. So I'm looking at eyeball arms and/or rack. The problem is that I changed so much on this car so fast that I have no way of knowing what caused the shake. The car has a set of Treehouse eyeball arms and I did a Z3 rack swap.

It has a set of aluminum M3 control arms on it. I remember that the aluminum control arms practically fell into the Treehouse CAB arms. I was concerned about it and emailed them. They said that their eyeball arms do not require pressing like the OEM parts do, the control arms just slides in.

I really dont want to buy another E36 rack. If I do, I'm not buying a used one like I did last time.

    Some questions

Has anyone installed a set of Treehouse CABs and had a front end shimmy get worse?

Can poorly adjusted sway bar links contribute to a front end shake?

    TIA.

    Is it tracked perfectly?

Jack up the front end of the car and check your balljoints for play before you do anything. If there is no play, then your problem is likely the tires out of balance.

Also, has the car been aligned since changing all these suspension and steering components?

My test drive was actually the drive home from the alignment shop. Tie rod ends are new, wheels are freshly balanced. I guess it could be the control arms (ball joints), I dont know how old they are.

I've got an e36 M3 steering rack and treehouse eyeball arms and I don't have any shimmy until about 90 MPH. Wheel balance problem?
