Bought a car recently and on the drive home it had some overheating problems.
I flushed the coolant system today and installed a new thermostat. I did the proper bleeding of the system with the heater on high until only fluid was coming from the bleed screw. Car has a new clutchfan, timing belt and waterpump too. On top of flushing/bleeding the system I also wired up the auxiliary to be constantly on. Any other things that could contribute to the car overheating? I've heard the possibility of a blown headgasket from reading other overheating threads (just hoping it isnt this)
Also, I need to drive the car about 110 miles in a day so I just basically need it to make it that far and then it will be put down for a bit.
