    broken driveshaft?

so i was removing my diff today and after i removed all the nuts and bolts i lowered it, but the driveshaft came out with it, it doesn't look broken, it's splined. so is this bad?

You pulled out the rear half of the driveshaft. I'm not sure how you did that though with it still attached to the diff, which is what it sounds like you did.
Just pull out the rest of the driveshaft and reassemble it.

i didn't notice while i was lowering the diff and pulling it back that the driveshaft was still stuck to the diff, as long as nothing is broken then kool, just what i wanted to hear haha. thanks1

^Yeah, you should have marked the driveshaft before you pulled it.

If it turns out you messed it up, you can get a reman driveshaft from Driveline of Portland for less than $400, I'm waiting on mine to get here as we speak.

A lot of them are marked from the factory. Look for marks near the joint, usually a center-punch mark or a white paint mark.

What happens if the shaft isn't lined up right?

it will be out of balance causing massive speed-dependent vibration
