I've was driving around a couple of days ago when my car started to groan when I turned the steering wheel. It only seemed to do this until the car was warmed up. I checked the belt, it was tight, I checked fluid it was full. I continued to drive the car around and the groaning became more and more frequent. One day when I stopped to get some groceries when I came back to the car I noticed a huge puddle of red ATF fluid under my car. My car took a big red runny dump. I checked the resevoir and sure enough all the fluid was gone. I removed the belt as to not fry the PS pump. Did I blow a hose or do I need a new rack? How do I find out?

PS hose is leaking. Refill your reservoir and turn the wheel from outside the car while looking in your hood. When you see the squirt, you found your problem.Erick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube

I'm willing to bet on the hose. It happened to me and the groaning was the fact that there was no PS fluid and the rack was running dry.
But it's either one.... just turn the wheel at look at where it squirts from. That'll be your answer.Erick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube
