For a few extra bucks I can get Cross-Drilled or Slotted. Give me some pros/cons.

    Zimmermann Cross Drilled

    ATE Power Disc

Right now i'm kinda leaning towards cross-drilled cause a buddy of mine has them on his e36 M3 and likes them alot.

Most people advise not to get cross-drilled rotors for daily driving.

With stock brakes, the ATE slotted rotors are your best bet.

My uncle cooked his Zimmerman cross-drilled rotors... warped too easy, however, mine never did.

Even though Zimmermans are cast, I have heard about them cracking still.

Don't waste the money on cross drilled rotors. As people here were saying, our rotors are too small to make a difference with cross drilled or even slotted. Though they disapate more gases, you will hardley, if ever, be driving fast enough and braking hard enough on the street to ever need them.

On the other hand, I would get the ATE Powerslots because they are not too much more than OEM replacements for the front.

Thats what i think i'm going to end up doing. Powerslots in the front, with brembo replacements in the rear. btw i love how cheap replacement parts are for e30's

Yeah that's exactly what I'm going to do, but I need to decide on pads...

Look, do not get drilled rotors. Rotors are built to dissipate heat, and holes in the rotor surface only inhibit that from happening. Check out any race car that is not using carbon rotors, and see if they are running drilled. Also, no pads outgas enough to warrant drilled holes anymore.

If you want to get the ATE powerdiscs, thats fine. In wet conditions, the slots actually help your initial bite, but thats about it.

for a few bucks more? Just get stock rotors and save those few bucks. Dont even get the Powerslots. They wont make a difference.
                  Im now E30less.

I've had cross-drilled rotors (Zimmerman, I believe) on my car for 2 years and haven't had a problem. The PO put them on almost a year before I picked the car up. I doubt they do much more for stopping than stock rotors; same with slotted rotors.
The only reason you should spend extra money on cross-drilled rotors is if you like the look.

:D Right now I using Black Diamond rotor alround and Mintex pads (F) and Jurid pads (R) the result is really good.
