How do I bypass the heater core so I can get down there sat?

Just the man I was hoping to hear from. I got it to my driveway, so it's easy enough to work on.
Just tore out my airbox to get a better look at what happened. I also pulled off the two hoses going to the heater core, so I'll run to the store and buy a u bend hose and bypass it. I know it's not a permanent fix, but I don't have any other car, any other way of getting it there sat, and hey, its july...who needs heat? :)
Do you know what size piece I should need Greg? Those hoses are relatively small, maybe 1.5"?

Can this get any more fun?
Got a coupler to connect the two hoses and bypass the heater core. Started filling with coolant, and looked under to see if it was leaking.
It was. Looks like the water pump, as I've checked the hoses and it looks like its coming right from the pump itself.
I'll go ahead and assume this means my water pump is shot. Which is "fine," as that was to be replaced saturday.
My question is, what do I do to get this thing down there, about 30 miles away? Is there any way of me driving it? When I started the car it slowed the leaking to a minimal drip, but as my earlier post said, I have no temp gauge, therefore no idea what the engine's temp is.
Greg, is towing the car down there a possibility, or is Hanscom not down with that?

I bought a used one, $25. Risky proposition for a street car though.
Pelican parts has 'em. I don't shop anywhere else for stock parts.
Not a fun job to replace, but not rocket science either. Any mechanic with half a brain can do it. Just one of those miserable, standing-on-your-head-in-a-sea-of-coolant jobs. :roll:sigpic
