MAF Upgrade?

I've seen people using the big 6 AFM on their M20's is there sort of the same thing for M50's? If so is there something special you have to do to the ECU's software to make it be able to use the upgraded MAF? I think I remember reading somewhere someone was using a 540i MAF on their M50. Just curious.

you can convert your AFM to MAF, but you'd need some sort of method to trick the ECU, like SMT6
