Previous owner disabled my central locking

I know, I know, another central locking help thread. Bear with me for a second.

So today I wanted to do a couple little things to my car, getting the central locking working was one of them. He said he disabled it (along with removing the antenna motor) because they were known to be problematic. Both were in working order when he said he disabled them.

I discovered some interesting things up under the dash, mainly this:

Cool, so I ripped that out and took out some wires that he had in there.

I'm assuming this is the central locking unit:

Should the other plug be plugged into something? What am I missing to get central locking back?

that is a plug for the relay for the lights that come on when you open the door.

your central locking unit may be bad. Open it up and check all the solder points. One of mine had come apart, soldered it back up and it worked again.

My lights do come on when I open the door, though.

I opened up the unit, everything looks good.
