    Urgent Brake Light Problem

During a random drive my brake lights went out and the check control lit up. I checked and all of the lights were out. In addition the cruise control stopped working. I went to the fuse box and changed out the fuse and it was immediately blown. I tried one higher amp fuse and that blew as well. Does anyone have any idea what is going on

I have a mono sub amp, capacitor, and 4 channel amp in the car as well as aftermarket speakers and head unit. I also hardwired a radar detector to a window switch.

Any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated.

Something is DEFINATELY shorting out. since it happened as you were driving, i would figure it would be a wire somewhere has gotten to where it is grounding. I would start looking at the add on stuff first.
