    Sticky steering?

I just noticed this problem today. It's been pretty damn hot the last few days, 95F+ - not sure if that has anything to do with it. The steering wheel seems to "stick" intermittently instead of fluidly correcting itself when coming out of a turn like normal. I also notice it a bit going into turns, intermittently.

    Any ideas?

Could also me the upper strut bearings, although I don't think heat would make the difference. Mine were collapsed so far that the top of the strut was embedded in the bearing.

        Here's what I know:

        1) Tire pressure is good.
        2) Power steering fluid is full.
        3) PS pump belt is intact and tight.
        4) Not getting any screeching or whining from under the hood like what's typical when a PS pump is dying.
        5) No metal shavings in the PS fluid. I read somewhere a dying rack can produce this.
        6) All brake components, control arms, tie rods, struts and springs were replaced 6 months ago. Upper strut bearings were inspected, cleaned and regreased at the time as well.

Turns out all I needed was a little WD-40. I lubricated the steering knuckle real good and took it around the block, and it's smooth as butter again. Apparently when I cleaned/degreased the engine last weekend I did too good of a job and un-lubricated some things :p Hooray for cheap fixes!
