    stop test not working

What could be the problem if the stomp test results in nothing. I've turned the key to the on position and hit the gas 5 full times. Every time nothing happens.

    Thoughts?

    thanks

That failure will probably be caused by a problem with the TPS. The DME has to see five iterations of alternating idle and WOT signals from the TPS. The TPS could be bad or the throttle cable and/or idle stop could be mis-adjusted.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

What does TPS stand for? I tried looking it up in the bently and came up with nothing.

I couldn't find any info on that in the Bently. What term should I be looking up?
