Hi everyone, haven't posted since e3s went down. Anyway, I just discovered a new noise in my e30 while crawling along at 20mph in highway traffic. It is a medium pitched squeak, very hard to describe. It is not the sound the disc brakes make at all. It is deeper than that. It sounds to be coming from the front left wheel area. Once up to speed it disappears. It also goes away instantaneously when the brake is pushed down to a certain point (~half way). I doesn't appear to be a wheel bearing as it is not a whirring noise and does not occur while turning. In fact, it doesn't always happen even when under the above conditions; but when it does, it does so under those conditions. Sorry for the long winded description but I'm really boggled here. I think it needs new front brakes anyway, but would they really make that noise? Someone had mentioned that sway bars make a similar noise before they really go. Any ideas? Thanks.
