    e30 Lock Cylinder rebuild instructions

    Hello all.
My driver's side lock cylinder has died ('89 325i central locking car) and I bought a rebuild kit. The downside is that the instructions that came with the kit are useless. I did a forum search and found references to the unofficialbmw.com site which was very vague and many, many references to the bmwe30.net site...but that one wont load.

Would some kind soul guide me to a good set of instructions, preferably with pictures, on the internet? I go on vacation Friday and need to do this rebuild one night this week after work.

    THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!

    Chris

One can spend plenty of time trying to figure it out, or the rebuild kit can be taken to a locksmith.
Done right the first time, plug and play. Done.

......annnnnnnddddddddd........DONE! That wasn't bad at all thanks to the help here. The worst part of it is getting the clip that holds the cylinder in the door back on (and breaking a few door panel clips because it got dark and I didnt have them lined up correctly). Anybody can tackle this.

          Thanks again folks!!!!!!!!
