Complete engine? I know that I can pick up an m50 complete bottom end with another person. I dont think I could pick up a complete block, head, manifolds, and accesories. You would probably have to get a cherry picker.

308 pounds. Two people should be able to move it around.

I saw that, I was looking for a more specific weight. I'm picking one up this weekend and trying to figure how how I'm going to get it back.

My source lists the 2.5 M50 at 300lbs. It also lists the Z3 M52B28 at 260lbs.

Roadway came this afternoon and tried to deliver it in the sealed crate. His info said 500 pounds not including the crate, which can't be right. I have to pay an extra friggin' $144 for them to come back tomorrow with a pallet jack. Lame. You'd think they'd just have one in the truck anyway. Pisses me off when people ship things and don't see it through or make sure it's done properly...he knew he was shipping to an apartment building, like hell i'm just gonna have a pallet jack in the garage.

Thanks for the weight on the engine. I'll take pics of it when it comes tomorrow afternoon, only has 8,000 miles on it. :D :D :D

The aluminum block is 52 pounds lighter than a '95 M3 block.

Actually, it's another one that I found on eBay. It is partially disassembled, the guy used it for a blueprinting project for a class. Scored it for $525 plus about $320 for shipping. No accessories though.

UPS did the same thing to me I shipped a 130lb m10 Engine block and they sent a Woman driver out with no means what's so ever to get it into the truck. No ramps or anything.
So they had to come the next day but since I arranged pick up and they guarenty pickup they bumped the package to a faster service.

so the aluminum block is not really all that great? 52 lbs is noticable, but the alloy m52 cannot be made larger.
