    eta exhaust suggestions

I need to replace the exhaust on my car. I am going to go ahead and the get intermediate pipe that eliminates the resonator. I dont know what muffler to get though. My original intention was to get the ansa sport muffler. I read somewhere that Stu recommended a dynomax turbo muffler for the M42 cars. This works better for me because it is a bit cheaper and i can pick it up locally. Would this (or equivalent) be good to go with. I want a nice euro sound, nothing like the ricey revs i hear at school. I'm not expecting to pick up any power putting a different exhaust on. I just need something good that will replace my stock system and give it a little more sound.

if you've got an ETA, you've got an I6, so it'll be hard to get a honda like sound out of it. Any one of the universal mufflers, Dynamax, magnaflow, flowmaster, will have a muffler that will suit your sound requirements, budget and material.

Go with RAVIN from Midas, 325 installed, stainless steel, many tips to choose from, sounds awesome, identical to BB Triflo, only about 1/4 to 1/2 quieter.

I'll grab the Fiancees DV cam, and get a sound recording...

I would like to hear that. Get that clip up if you can.
As for back-pressure; does the motor run okay with less? I know that some motors like to have a little extra. At least I had this problem on a Fiero I once owned. I'm thinking it wont really be a problem since the i cars didnt have a resonator.

hey i am interested in what else you have to say about the ravin. i noticed it is stainless steel and that is basically my prime concern for a new muffler, because i live up north in the snowy/salty areas. how much do you know about the lifespan of the ravin? will it last as long as an OEM replacement? thanks buddy
