    Chip Problem

    Ok
    I finally bougth s chip fpr my e30 convertible.
    BMP Chip
    I opened my ecu up, its number is 525, and it appears the factory chip is soldered in.
    is it, or do I just have horrible luck when it comes to bmw's

    If it is just desolder it and solder the new one in. Or pick up a ROM seat, and solder that in so you can swap chips easy later on.

      Or pick up a replacement ECU and sell your old one.
