All SuperSprints have stainless guts, but the E30 models use regular steel for the pipes + can. Yeah, they make good sh!t, about as good as it gets, but you pay through the nose for it. $720 for a damn muffler!
It has an X-pipe, which is pretty trick, and it is dyno tuned. . . might get +3 hp. . .
but $720 for a damn muffler!
That's $600 more than I paid for an Eberspächer exhaust, which is original equipment, dyno tuned by BMW, is not the weakest link on the 325i, and will probably last ~10 years. . .the same as the SuperSprint. A 100% stainless system would last longer, but there's a 90% probability that your E30 will not last another 10 years.
$600 / 3hp = $200/ hp.
Wow! At that rate, you could buy 100hp for $20,000.
My advice is to buy a stock Eberspächer exhaust and save the extra $600 for an M50/S50 motor, a turbo kit, or anything else that will make a real difference.

I realize that the design of the OEM exhaust is pretty much free flowing, so I'd assume people would only buy exhaust for the sound.
All I can find that fits mine is SuperSprint, but I'm interested in Stromung. Anyone know if they make a 318is cat back? The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

stormung makes a nice sound and so does remus but if you want the best build quality and definately the best exaust note and price is not a factor go with a borilla (sp?) cat back. never seen or heard them and dont even know if they make them but if they do there quality & note is the best hands down. no need for proof nesisary
