    Headlight Switch Question

I was wondering, i have a 1987 325i 4 door, and i was wondering if i have a defective headlight switch or not as i am not "yet" familiar with this car.

I was wondering if these headlight switches when turned all the way to one side, if the switch should "click" and light up the rear interior dome lights/map lights or not, or do they need to be done manually with the rear dome light switches? I'm just wondering if maybe my headlight switch is broken or defective? Thanks.

I don't think the dimmer or headlight switch will turn on the cabin lights. It didn't on my track car, before I ripped out the lights and the rest of the interior) and I don't remember having that feature on an 87 325is when it was current production. Nor have any of the BMW's I've owned since had that feature.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      Your light switch is fine...

Well, that is if you haven't twisted it all to hell.

That feature was left out of BMWs
