electrical problem with signals and blower help needed

    Hey everone,

I'm finishing putting a 89 325ic back together that had been parted out after a front end collision. Thought I was pretty much at the point I could drive it today and ran into a few snags. The car did not have the taillight bulb panels, so I grabbed a set, made sure all the bulbs were correct and in the correct spots and put them in. The blinkers do not work, the rear defroster fan also does not work. When you turn the headlights on with the rear defroster fan button on, a buzzer goes off. When the lights are off and the rear defroster fan button is on, if you turn a blinker on, a buzzer goes off. I pretty lost on this one, don't know where to start. I checked the fuses, all the correct fuses with the correct amp rating are in place. I did find a plug in the trunk not plugged in, but I see nowhere it would go. It looks factory, but maybe its from an old alarm or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Jeff

Here's a pic of the plug, its comes in the trunk with the other harnesses right under the driverside trunk hinge:

I figured it out, I had the emergency blinker and rear defrost switches reversed! Oops :) I still have no idea what that mystery harness in the trunk is for though.

Drivers side hinge area..... I forget what the plug looks like for the premium sound amp, but I do remember it lives back there.

      Look like speaker wires?
