how do I remove the center air vents.

The right side vent in my dash is busted up. The wide double vent for the AC that is directly about the radio. How do I remove this piece? Do I have to pull out the CD player and reach up in there to get this beast out? I dont want to mess up my dash pulling it out.

I always just take my needle nose pliers, and turn the vents all the way up, then clamp them on either side of the center divider and give it a good hard jerk and it comes out.

+1! Just aim them up and yank em out. I did it to mine with out breaking anything.

I need to put some velcro on mine so they stay in position better
