    AC Problem

    I have a '90 325is
AC keeps blowing fuse. I replaced the fuse and turned the fan on, it works on all speeds. Turn the AC on and the fuse blows.

    Any help is useful
    Thanks

The cause could be a short in the A/C clutch or its associated wiring.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

          similar problem but slightly different

Mine did it as well but only after frying the wiring that attaches to the back of the slider controls. I ended up replacing the controls and putting a new connector on. Now I can have the AC on and have all 4 fan speeds where as before I could only have the fan on position 1 or 2 for a few minutes before the fuse would blow.
