help with an new air intake?

Im a bit of a newbie at working on my own car so bear with me... I just installed a JC chip for my 87 325i Cabrio, took it for a test drive and it ran fine for several miles. When i got back home i swapped out the stock air box for the filter kit from Turner Motorsports. got the car about 3 blocks down the road and it started cutting out so limped back home where the car finally died, and now will not run unless the throttle is most of the way down. It smells like it is flooded (can that happen with fuel injection?) and runs roughly at lower RPM's.

Ive checked all the connections etc and even put an extra gallon of gas in it but the symptoms have not changed. I have not tried the old air box again and was hoping to avoid doing the work twice. so if any body has any ideas i'd greatly appreciate them :)

    Thanks

if you unplug the afm it should be rough at high rpms not low rpms
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Oh no, it'll be fucked up all over the place. I pulled that one once.

Jordan is right, check the AFM.

Yep, go crank your car up, unplug the AFM and blip the throttle once or twice. Weird shit will happen.
