    AT leak question

Picked up our new zinnoberrot 325i today, and the owner was telling me it has a drip leak coming from the transmission. He said it's a small seal that's no more than about $10 to replace, and I haven't had a chance to get up under the car. What seals, on the outside of the transmission, would cause this?

The main oil pan seal... replace the filter while you are there.

Get jackstands or put the car on a lift, inspect area, cuss out and get prepared to drop tranny to replace main seal...

Ha ha, j/k it could be the tranny fluid drain bolt or seal hopefully :?

      Good luck...

Thanks Jordan. Do you have a part number for the filter?

        I assume the main oil pan gasket is 24 11 1 217 082.
