    Please help: Speedometer Impulse Sensor?

What would be effected if the Speedometer Impulse Sensor were to go out?

I have a 1990 325is, and the Speedo, Odometer, and Fuel Economy gauges are not working on my cluster. I don't really think it's an SI board issue due to the fact that my Tachometer is still working and the OBC is not reading an Avg MPH or an Avg MPG either. The cluster and OBC are separated, right? Makes me think it's a sender problem? Thus my question about the speedometer impulse sensor. Any help guys? Thanks!

Check the wires at the sensor for damage.. than check with a volt meter.

the OBC and cluster intermingle ini some functions. I would think that it
actually is your Si board batteries. The tach works because it doesnt connect or have anything to do with the OBC

Sometimes my speedo does this. It doesn't work sometimes. Anybody know what this is? Could it be the batteries?

Mine is the reverse of yours.... My speedo rarely works at all. Only for about 30mins in the the last 4 days actually....
