I have a problem that has me very frustrated. At 50 to 60 mph the car will shake and it seems to be coming from the drive train. This is very violent shaking. OK so flex joint or drive line is what comes to mind. But there is more. Standing still ebrake on I rev the motor up and at 3k it shakes not before or after 3k just at 3k Please help.
A whole lot of shaking going on.

Since you can duplicate the problem with the car stationary, the drive train isn't the primary problem. It sounds to me like the engine is misfiring at higher rpm. That could be from any of a number of causes. And if the motor mounts are iffy or blown the misfires would couple a lot of vibration into the chassis. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Have you put the car up on stands and done the pry bar test at suspension bushings, mounting points to look for excessive play?Comment

If it wasn't done on a Hunter GSP9700, then the wheels and tires are still suspect.

Cmon, how could it be the wheels if it happens when the car isn't moving.
Check the motor mounts, maybe look at pullys? What was the last thing you worked on, when do you remember it happening first?
EDIT
Is this the turbo car?Yours truly,
Rich
