you can do it yourself for free if you have about 10-15 minutes to spare.

Can you list all the tools I would need? I know I need a 32mm wrench, but do I need that fan clutch removal tool? This thing:

No, you just need a thin 32mm wrench. I didn't buy the BMW one, instead I opted for a bicycle head wrench for like 5 or 10 bucks rather than whatever it cost for the BMW tool. As far as other tools, sorry I'm just too tired right now.

So you guys are saying that I don't need to remove the fan to get to this sensor? Does someone have a diagram that shows exactly where it is? I checked realoem and couldn't find it.

It's below the water pump, on the passenger side.

Ok, where does this plug go? It's not going to the CPS or to the distributor. I either knocked it off when I was down there or it was just dangling.

lol, under your test plug, there are 2 connections.

                      1. sensor on your ignition wires
                      2. crank position sensor.

Did you install CPS and forget to plug it in? lol

It's not the one that goes to the CPS. In the first pic, you can see that it's already plugged in. Anyway, the car starts now. But for some reason I have a check oil light.

check on the driver side. on top of the oil pan there's the level sender for oil

PS: in the fist pic, it's unplugged because i can see ridges.
