How many airbag sensors are on a 1990 325i? I only have the air bag on the driver's side, so I'm guessing that the is one on the seat belt clip. I don't see any wiring going to the seat. I read about sensors on the floor? Are there several impact sensors.in the front? Anything in the side or back? Thanks!

2 sensors, I'm pretty sure. One on each side of the engine bay, bolted down in front of the strut towers. They have arrows pointing to the front of the car for orientation. They are single-axis accelerometers, so they will not cause airbag discharge in most side or rear collisions.
Late e30s only have a driver airbag.
There is one wire under the driver's seat that is the sensor for the seatbelt, although I don't think it affects the airbag system. -
Thanks! I found them. Any way to check if they are OK? I suppose they have wires that run to the control module. Can I check resistance or something at the point of the module?Comment
