    All gauge clusters interchangeable?

    Hey guys,
    My buddy is looking to replace the cluster in his 87 325i convertible.
    What year ranges and models can he look to source a replacement cluster from?
    84-91 325i/is? (M20 cars)
    84-87 325i/is? (early model?)
    84-81 325/318/i/is/eta (everybody?)

      I have put one from a 325i into a 318i before. The tach didn't work right cause there are 2 less cylinders but it worked.

          VDO or Motometer, anything newer than 6/86 will work (provided it's not a 5k tach) and sometimes earlier clusters will work.
