    door lock issues

So if I lock the drivers side door with the key and then go over to the passenger door, I can't turn the key. But if I lock it from the passenger side door, it will lock and unlock just fine. Is it supposed to work this way? It seems odd to me.

I have a similar issue with mine. I can lock/unlock from the driver's door, but can't lock or unlock from the passenger's door. I usually end up using the driver's door or the trunk.

Anyone have any idea what the issue is? Is there a part of the lock that has seized or something?

Isn't that how the double lock feature works on these things?

How difficult is it to convert? Anyway of using BMW parts? I thought I heard at one point that certain (later production) euro E30's had it available.
