    running rough

Yesterday as i was fixing a crack in my sump and tightening the very loose bolts on my completly shagged powersteering rack, i discovered a plug on the end of some wires completly detached from anything in sight. The plug is located under the inlet manifold and i cannot find anything that it might fit onto, i think this plug may have something to do with my car running extremly rough when i put my foot anywhere past quarter throttle. i hope someone can enlighten me as to what it is for. cheers, chris

What shape is the plug? Round? Square? Rectangular?

From your description it sounds like you're talking about the fuel injection electronics connector but I think that would yield absolutely no power let alone a start up but I could be wrong.

Anyway, let me know what the plug looks like.

it is a rectangular plug with three pins in it, it looks exactly the same as, and even fits in the throttle position sensor, i was told by a 'european specialist' that it maybe for something to do with cold start. cheers, chris
