hey ppl,

i hv 85 auto 320i as my daily driver. recently i notice that in the morning the gear change from 1-2 takes longer time than before. it rev till 4-5K rpm b4 enggage to 2nd. but once its running, the gear change is normal again. no power lost. any clue ?? i did an atf change recently but still the same thing happen.

is it telling me i need gearbox overhaul/replacement ??

Did you check the ATF level after the change?

I think it sounds like you need more!!!

fluid level is correct. checked it with engine running and its between min/max point. what really puzzle me is that it only happen with the engine cold or after u left ur car park for 3-4 hrs. :(

change the fluid and filter then see what it's doing.
