FRONT wheel bearing replacement - where to buy and is there a DIY?

I saw the rear bearing DIY on this site, and got a good laugh at the use of a welder to expand them to ease removal LOL...

Anyways, car is a 91 318is. Front passenger is making a low rumble on hard turns and at low speeds. I've tightened everything with a bolt and control arms, suspension, etc are all brand new. It just started doing this about 500 miles ago but seems to be getting worse pretty quick.

Does anyone have a link for the front replacement? I assume it's easier than the rears... also any recommendations on where to get them for a reasonable price would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

it's a pretty easy job. with the wheel on the ground, loosen the huge nut on the spindle. remove the caliper and rotor and then pull off the entire hub with a 3 jaw puller.

        installation ins reverse of removal.

          Easy stuff.

          Important Tools:
          36MM socket
          Torque wrench (over 210 ft-lbs)
          Bearing puller
          BFH
          19mm socket
          Allen keys
          Chisel
          big breaker bar

          Need:
          Front wheel Bearing/Hub ($130-150)
          some general purpose grease
          Loctite 638
          Front wheel stub axle nut

Take off the wheel, use the chisel and hammer to very lightly tap the grease cap out. Try not to bend to, or you'll need to buy a new one. Bend the tab on the nut outwards. Replace the wheel, lower the car, use the big breaker and 36mm to loosen the axle nut, raise the car again, remove the wheel, brake caliper, rotor and nut. use the bearing puller to pull the hub off, then use the chisel to slowly tap out the inner race if it doesn't all come off at once. Put the new bearing on (tap the inner race on with the socket and hammer as far as you can) put on the axle nut (don't try to torque it) relpace the brake rotor and caliper. Put the wheel on and lower the car. Torque the axle nut to 210 ft-lbs. Bend the edge of the new nut into the slot on the stub axle. Pack some grease in there, loctitie the grease cap, and tap it back on.

          Profit!
