Stereo light

Anyone know why the stereo LCD doesn't light up? Numbers can be seen changing when i tune or when it's hit by light @ an angle, is there a bulb that needs to be changed or what could be the problem, BTW can it light when the antenna is not up ?

Sounds to me like a bad bulb.

And no, the antenna is not controlled seperately.

I opened the stereo but didn't see any bulb, is there any thread for reference or pics to the bulb change?

If your deck is made by Alpine, the bulb is likely under that display.
