Has anyone had experience w/ these E30 subframe stabilizers from ebay?

thoughts? I have a slight clunk in my rear subframe, and the cost of having the bushings replaced probably exceed the cost of the car. I'm looking for a cheaper alternative for the moment until I can fund the replacement of the bushings. Has anyone used these before? I wanted to know if they may help the issue I am having...assuming my bushings aren't completely annihilated.

actually I have used them and realistically, they do a good job, The problem with the stock bushings is that they have gaps in the rubber which allows for subframe flex. What these do is they fill the gaps which in the best case just eliminates most of the subframe shimmy. I like them and they are a cheap and easy alternative to the race or street subframe bushings.

My buddy made a set of them out of PVC plastic pipe.
you can do it for 1/4 of the cost of what they are selling them for.

2" ABS pipe, you can make the same thing in minutes for next to nothing.

Also if your subframe bushings are old, soft, and collapsed, these really are not the answer. This would be a modification you would want to do when you install new ones.

I will be doing this soon. I was going to go poly, but I got a set of brand new ones from the dealer for free. Stick some ABS up its ass and into the car, should work great for what it is.

i wouldnt call it a permanent solution, if youre looking for something temporary before you do the job right then go for it. If your bushings are bad sticking peices of plastic in the holes wont solve it for long.
