    got some cluster problems

Alright so i picked up a 325is. its got some things i need to figure out.

    1. when driving the check light keeps flashing on the insturment cluster but no lights on the cluster are on, all the light some on when i turn the key so no lights are out. but my brake light is on, on the check overhead control panel.( the PO did a m3 interior swap and took out the 3rd brake light so im guessing thats why the brake light is on but does that have anything to do with the check light flashing? also how do i go about bypassing the 3rd brake light so the light isnt on the check panel? (were do i put in resistnace or what do i need to do)

    2. the service light lights up when i turn the key to acc. and is on green but when i turn the car on the service lights arent on at all. this normal? my e30 ix i have is diff and the service lights are on when i am driving. what could this be?

    any info is appreciated.

    thanks

    (1) The check light should be on because the brake warning light in the check panel is on. If the third brake light has been removed, you'll need access the that wiring and substitute a resistor for the missing bulb.

    (2) The green/yellow/red lights should come on when you turn the key to position 2 and go off when you start the car.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
