    Suspension - Springpads (Jordan??)

    Hi guys,

I was just checking out the thread on suspension with pics of all the cars and I read a couple of posts (Jordans was one of them) where the springpads have been removed.

Now I'm running the same H&R Cup Kit on my sport with 17" wheels as Jordans car and his looks lower. I want the front of mine to come down a little more so do I do this by removing the springpads.

I'd just like to clarify that the springpads are the rubber bits that go above and below the springs.

Are there any negative effects of removing these, do you get increased noise at all and will it bring the front of my car a bit closer to the ground?

    Thanks in advance!

yes the rubber pads above and below.
increased road noise, maybe some "clacking" over bumps, and depending on which thickness they are, that will determine how much the front comes down.
    Below the radar...

I don't have any unusual clacks or clunk in the front end, doesn't matter what I'm driving on/over. I see no reason why you need the front spring pads, other then the fact that the spring will be rubbing on the metal of the spring seats.

there will be no noise if you remove the front spring pads, as the spring are alwasy under so tenison no matter what.

i have my front pads removed with no ill effects either

if you're affraid the springs will make any noise, just cover the first thread (top and bottom) with rubber hose (the one from your garden).
