    DOHC swap guys- TACH Signal

Which wire off the ECU do I need? The wire then goes to the three wire plug under the dash, but which one?

Alos anyone know how to wire the A/C on signal wire?

Stared it up today and it sounds GREAT!

you have an early e30? I think it's the big green wire, I could be wrong though, all but one of the cars I wired were late model e30s

yes, early car. I do not remeber a green wire under the dash, but I will check. The one on the engine plug is for the starter.

You have a e30/e36 pin chart thjat I can check by? Everything works I just want to be sure.

I have only wired a late model as well, but IIRC the tack signal on an early car runs through a plug under the dash near the glove box. I'll look through my stuff and see if I can find it.

It was the black one on the three wire plug. I have yet to do the one for the A/c idle, it idles the car up some.

The exhaust is the last thing and I will be done, finally. I was talking to this guy that put a m30 into his, he is a pro mechanic, and well he said that him and I both are now married to our cars that neither of use could get back what we have in them. I wish this was not true!!

He has about 5000 in parts not including his own labor, and I have about 4500-5000 in parts and not counting my own labor.

His car actaully looks nice, mine is a beater I guess!

          Cannot wait to drive it.

Mine was the fat green wire (as Bryson said above). Black was econometer.

Well I had a 318i, AKG was pretty good, just use some logic and look to the old engine if you are unsure
